On 21 October, monumental music, art and architecture come together to celebrate 30 years of ADE.
The Concertgebouworkest will perform Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony with 70 musicians inside Amsterdam’s monumental Centrale Markthal. Enjoy this true classic from 1808 conducted by Riccardo Minasi, beneath the largest-ever version of Boris Acket’s EINDER.
The rhythmic motif of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony is repeated constantly, taking on ever-changing forms, and in this way Beethoven builds his symphony layer by layer. While EINDER will shift and reshape above the orchestra creating a dance that is never the same twice.
Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony was revolutionary 200 years ago, and it still is today. This energetic music never ceases to surprise.
Based in Amsterdam, the Concertgebouworkest has brought music to life for 138 years. The orchestra’s unique sound takes it to the most prestigious concert halls in the world.
Since 2020, the orchestra has been working closely with Klaus Mäkelä, who will commence his tenure as chief conductor in 2027. Riccardo Chailly is conductor emeritus, and Iván Fischer is honorary guest conductor. Her Majesty Queen Máxima is patron of the the Concertgebouw Orchestra.
The orchestra sees it as its responsibility to pass on the power of symphonic music. The musicians share their knowledge and experience through the Academy of the Concertgebouw Orchestra and the international youth orchestra Young, while the orchestra trains young conductors in the Ammodo Masterclass and through the Bernard Haitink Associate Conductorship. With innovative concert formats and performances outside the concert hall, the orchestra inspires new listeners.
Coats and small bags are allowed. If you bring a large bag or backpack, we kindly ask you to store it in a locker. Please note that we do not have space to store large suitcases or other luggage.

Tickets for Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest x EINDER by Boris Acket cost €49, excluding the service fee.

We have a limited number of spots available for ADE Pro Pass holders. Once all spots have been claimed, it will no longer be possible to attend the concert with your ADE Pro Pass. Make sure to arrive on time.
EINDER is accessible to wheelchair users. If you are planning to attend a concert and require a wheelchair space, please let us know in advance by emailing einder@thisismakingwaves.com.
The Centrale Markthal is accessed via a footbridge. After contacting us by email, wheelchair users can arrange to be met at the gatehouse and assisted to the venue.
Two parking spaces are reserved for visitors arriving by car with a wheelchair. These spaces are located to the left of the main entrance of the Markthal, on the south side of the building. If you would like to use one of these spaces, please let us know in advance.
Yes, this is a seated event. We work with general admission. Choose any available seat upon arrival. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. You do have to reserve a valid ticket.

Access to the Centrale Markthal is via the footbridge. Walking across the footbridge takes approximately 15 minutes, so please allow enough time to reach the venue before the concert starts.
